Safety Letter to Parents
It is unfortunate that school violence once again makes headlines around the nation. This unexplainable and senseless act of violence tears at the fabric of all school communities. Our warm thoughts and prayers go out to all of the victims and their families, as well as those directly and indirectly affected by this horrific event.

Please know that safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our highest priority at all times. All buildings have a school safety plan in place which is reviewed and updated regularly. Additionally, we have one full time School Resource Officer, a Plum Borough Police Officer, who provides an additional layer of security to our schools.

It is an appropriate time to remind students, staff, and parents to be vigilant in reporting suspicious behaviors and any safety concerns to the building principal.

It is inevitable that we focus on our own school safety and our children's emotional well-being during this troubling time. It is our hope, that parents discuss any safety concern or child's emotional fragility with our teachers, counselors or principal.
