As a reminder, students can not enter the building until 8:40 AM.  For the saftey of our students please review our Center Arrival and Dismissal Procedures regarding dropping off and picking up your child.

Fifth Grade Book Club
The Fifth Grade Book Club at Center was back in action this week after the holiday break. This month's book was One For the Murphys by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. The book was given high praise by all of our readers and was even declared "The best book I ever read!" by one of the students! If you are looking for a great book, check this one out!  
Fourth Grade Book Club
Honus and Me was a homerun with Center's Fourth Grade Book Club.  Students had plenty thoughts and opinions to share revolving around this historical fiction plot. Mrs. Kalik and Mrs. Austin were impressed with both the discussion and turnout.  Way to go readrs! 
COMMUNITY FORUM ON BULLY PREVENTION FOR PARENTS
The Plum Borough School District and Socialize Right invite you to a community forum focusing on bullying, cyber-bullying and social media on February 9th from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at OBlock Junior High School Auditorium

4th Grade Book Club hit record breaking numbers!
Center's 4th grade book club hit record-breaking numbers!  These thrity students signed up to read and discuss the first novel in the Alvin Ho series.  Mrs. Kalik and Mrs. Austin were impressed with not only the attendance but with the great discussion that the novel generated.  Way to go, readers! 
The Globetrotters visit Center Elementary
The World Famous Globetrotters visited Center Elementary to share their anit-bullying message.  Zues and Swish shared a fanastic program focused on their ABC's of Bullying.  Thank you Globetrotters and PTA for a great event!
