For the continued support of all students, a school based intervention program is in place. Response to Instruction and Intervention (R.T.I.I.) provides a daily time of instruction intervention support and enrichment of students. Although interventions occur each school day, RTII provides a framework of support for student learning.
At least 30 minutes a day is dedicated to RTII student intervention/enrichment of language arts and math. For students with academic or behavioral difficulty, a team works together as effective problem solvers. This team includes the principal, teachers, parents, and professional support staff.
Utilizing daily assessments, as well as benchmark assessments from STAR Literacy/STAR Math, teachers use a flexible model for small group instruction to meet student needs. The overachieving goal is to maximize student learning and application of literacy and math.
