Secondary Life Skills Thanksgiving Feast 2015

Here are some photos taken by Ms. Rowe on Fridays PASCC event-hosted by Plum High School. An yearly event for teachers in the surrounding school districts (all AIU's in Allegheny county) to display their instructional activities/skills in biology so that students are successful in biology as well as biology keystone exams and AP biology.

7th annual WPIAL Sportsmanship Summit
Five Plum High School student-athletes attended the 7th annual WPIAL Sportsmanship Summit at the Heinz History Center and Sports Museum on November 12. Over 500 athletes from the WPIAL attended this event.
Toys for Tots Toy Drive
This year, Plum Senior High School will be collecting new unwrapped toys that will be donated to Toys for Tots. Please join our Plum Student Body, Clubs and Teams on December 2nd as we Stuff a Plum School Bus for local kids in need. 
KDKA Extra-Effort Award
Congratulations to Madison Gestrich, KDKA Extra Effort Award winner. The award is co-sponsored by KDKA and the Allegheny Health Network. Thank you to Mr. Bob Pompeani for coming to PHS to present this award!

Policies Page Refreshed
The District will be transitioning its Policy page to a new web-based system. This new Web-based policy system features:Expanded search capabilities
  • Streamlined collaboration for policy revisions
  • Access to Web-based legal links
  • Customizable board policy approval process
  • Improved flexibility and control in organizing and managing policies
  • Greater efficiency in accessing policy updates

JROTC Meet with Residents of Longwood
Each month, cadets from Plum Senior High School's Air Force JROTC meet with residents of Longwood Retirement Community to answer questions and help the residents with phones, MacBooks, and PCs. The cadets and residents enjoy spending time together...and sharing a cookie or two.
